What is Woodsball - Multiball
Multiball has been pioneered by Warped sports over the last
couple of years and is very successful.
It is played in 5 man teams, either established teams or made
up teams on the day (similar to the current 5 man events), but
multiball has a twist.
The best way to discribe how multiball works is to give you an
example of a model day, based on 8 teams.
eg. 8 x 5 man teams play the event and play a round robin 7
game format. This gives final positions 1st to 8th.
Then, the 1st place team join with the 8th place team and
create a 10 man team, the 2nd place team join with the 7th
place team and so on. This creates 4 x 10 man teams and a 3
game round robin is played and final positions 1st to 4th are
created. Then 1st and 4th join together to form a 20 man team,
as do 2nd and 3rd. A 20 man game is played, this gives
positions 1st and 2nd.
Obviously different numbers of teams will require tweeks to
the schedule, but you get how it works.
Genesis National Ranking scores are gained as follows.
1 Point for attending the event
3 points for being on the winning 5 man
2 points for being on the winning 10 man
1 point for being on the winning 20 man
1 point for being on 5 man "most sporting team"
total of 8 points available to each player
